Competitive manufacturing today requires a
quick “time to market” in order to reap the benefits of product leadership
and longevity. PLM is not just the most recent buzzword in the Information
Technology marketplace today, but it is a necessary strategy used to build a
solid foundation for an organization’s engineering communications network.
Many department strategies structure themselves alongside of each product’s
position in the lifecycle. All supply chain partners who touch the product
in any way become key players in the ongoing feedback loop during a
product’s lifecycle journey.
In the course of this presentation, the attendee will learn:
- A basic outline of Product Lifecycle Management and Concurrent
Engineering principles
- How to apply PLM to support an organization’s strategic plan
- The “building blocks” to successful Product Lifecycle Management
- An application of “PLM Thinking” to everyday examples.
