In Lean, it is critical that we ‘Learn to See’ the process and operations that are being studied. The preferred method to determine these process details is ‘Value Stream Mapping (VSM)’. The presentation will cover the why, what and how of Value Stream Mapping – both Current Value Stream and Future Value Stream. Interactive exercises will used to enable attendees to learn to independently draw and analyze VSM’s
Objectives
- To understand the function of a Value Stream Map in the context of Lean
- To learn how to develop, draw, analyze Current Value Stream Maps
To learn how to develop, draw and analyze Future Value Stream Map
