Operations and supply chain professionals face a never ending challenge to achieve and maintain a high level of inventory accuracy. Failure to maintain at least 99%+ inventory accuracy causes many companies to lose productivity and miss delivery schedules. Companies compensate for these short comings by over ordering, bringing inventory in early or holding extra inventory just-in-case an inventory error might occur. This interactive presentation will explore how companies can make better use of practical and fundamental inventory management tools. The attendee will learn how to avoid spending an inordinate amount of time, energy and money in a futile attempt to improve inventory accuracy. In fact, the opposite will be demonstrated to show that improvement in inventory accuracy does not have to be a long term and costly project. An inventory accuracy improvement methodology will be presented to define the required steps. Following these steps will show how your company will gain a forty percent improvement in inventory accuracy in just thirty days.
