Focus Clinic:  Revitalization: Comparing and Contrasting Revitalization efforts in Germany, Switzerland and the United States

In today’s world on ongoing outsourcing many companies are looking at ways to bring the manufacturing back into their facility. Revitalization has its own unique opportunities and challenges that as companies bring work back need to be faced. What work and/or services should be considered as well as what skill sets are needed and at what total cost will revitalization have on a business. What processes are needed, both equipment and procedural are just some of the many aspects that companies are facing when considering the Revitalization effort.    

Participants will come away from the seminar with a better understanding of how revitalization is understood and carried out by businesses/academia in Germany, Switzerland and the United States – There are many distinct differences, lessons and approaches to be learned from this.

  • Identify if their business has revitalization opportunities
  • Have a “blueprint” of the steps required from a business and academic standpoint to realize the revitalization opportunities
  • Understand the potential pitfalls associated with revitalization efforts and how to overcome these pitfalls.
