The participant should gain knowledge on why
Hershey was transforming our Distribution Network, as well as, how this was
accomplished. Project Management is the key to any project, large or small.
By having an effective and detailed plan, you can avoid the dangers of
missing tasks or accountability. The participant will also gain appreciation
that building a new distribution center is not just a construction project
but, rather an entire Supply Chain Project. Finally, partnering with your
3PL from the beginning enables them to be part of the process and
accountable in the long run.
After completing this session, the participant will be able to:
- Manage large or small projects through effective project
management
- Appreciate why transforming our network was necessary
- Understand how and why it is important to view your 3PL as your
partner
